  • Welcome to Raffles Montessori

Since the birth of Montessori over one hundred years ago and until today, the Montessori education has flourished with more than seven thousand schools adopting, trusting and adhering to its teaching methodology including state schools from all over the world. This educational method and philosophy were introduced by Dr. Maria Montessori, and Italian educator and philosopher, who had founded the Maria Montessori School.

Giving your child the Montessori education, is teaching him/ her reality of life. This kind of education is not only based on theory, but an experience for a life-long learning. Often times, many of the brilliant people experience failure, not because they are not equipped academically, but because they failed to put their theories learned into a real life situation.

Raffles Montessori School of Phnom Penh (RMISPP) is inviting you to bring your children to experience the beauty of an independent education. You will see for yourselves how the Montessori education will transform your child wonderfully guided by a team of Montessori-trained teachers/ directresses with so much love and passion for children.

Our school principal, teachers, and teaching assistants are well trained and equipped with skills and knowledge of Montessori, Singapore, who provides and regularly monitors our school curriculum, classroom management and school programmes and activities. We offer Pre-kindergarten, k1, K2 and K3 for children of ages 1.5 to 6 years old. Our Montessori curriculum covers the areas of Practical life activities, sensorial activities, language and literacy, mathematics, and geography & cultural activities with inclusion of science.

Like most International School, RMISPP puts our students first. Unlike most schools however we follow that creed not only in education but in better individual care, recognition of individual abilities and by scaffolding each child’s knowledge step-by-step to suit their personal needs. It reminds me of a poem that says.

“A Child is like a butterfly in the wind. Some can fly higher than others, but each one flies the best it can. Why compare one against the other? Each one is different. Each one is special. Each one is beautiful.”
